When the war of the giants is over the wars of the pygmies will begin.”   - Sir Winston Churchill

The war in China

China’s internet is entering a version of the Three Kingdoms Period which, as all good Chinese know, began with the fall of the Eastern Han Dynasty in 220 AD and ended 60 years later in the defeat of the Kingdom of Wu and the establishment of the Jin Dynasty. The conflict was one of the bloodiest in the bloody long and bloody bloody history of China. Much like today, with Baidu headquartered in Beijing, Alibaba sitting in Hangzhou and Tencent hunkered down in Shenzhen, the three kingdoms of Wei, Wu, and Shu were also located on a north-south power axis: Luoyang (Wei), Nanjing (Wu) and Wuhan (Shu). The War of the Three Kingdoms lasted for two generations and decimated the country’s population. This internet war will be quicker and should be better for consumers.
